Offered for sale is a RARE EXCELLENT HEAVILY ILLUSTRATED ORIGINAL 1943 THIRD REICH PHOTO BOOK ON THE GERMAN HOMEFRONT DIE HEIMAT HILFT MIT (THE EFFORTS OF THE HOMELAND) FEATURING WOMEN IN WEAPONS FACTORIES, REICH AIR RAID PROTECTION, EVACUATION OF CHILDREN FROM THE BOMBED CITIES TO RURAL AREAS AND MUCH MORE! The 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inch, 152-page hardcover book by Heinz Bollert was published 1943 by Zeitgeschichte Verlag in Berlin. The book is a very fine example of Nazi hold out propaganda! Even though Goering promised that not a single enemy airplane would ever enter the German air space or his name shall be Meier the German cities were heavily bombed (see photo below). The result was that many children had been evacuated to rural areas, the Air Raid Protection Association (Reichsluftschutzbund) had its hands full, money and goods were collected (WHW, etc), women replaced the men in the weapons factories and Arbeitsmaiden helped in the fields. This and much more is very well documented in this extremely interesting and very propagandistic original Third Reich book! The book is in very good condition and will make a great addition to every collection of historical Third Reich material!
