Offered for sale is a RARE 1935 TWO VOLUME PHOTO BOOK SET ON THE HISTORY OF GERMAN MOVIE MAKING VOM WERDEN DEUTSCHER FILMKUNST (THE BECOMING OF THE GERMAN MOVIE ARTS) VOLUME ONE IS ON SILENT MOVIES, VOLUME TWO IS ON SOUND MOVIES COMPLETE WITH ALL PASTED IN PICTURES / EXCELLENT CONDITION The two 9-1/4 x 12-1/4 inch album-like books are volume 10 and 11 from a series of cigarette picture albums that were published by Cigaretten-Bilder-dienst Altona-Bahrenfeld. Volume 15 of this series is a cigarette picture album on Adolf Hitler. Each volume has about 130 pages with many photo-like pictures that are accurately pasted into the text. Many German movies are explained and one get a very good impression of the first decades of German movie making. Both albums are in excellent condition, none of the pictures is missing. A great addition for every collection of historical Third Reich material.
