The Illustrierter Beobachter was a weekly propaganda magazine, published from 1926 to 1945 by the NSDAP publishing house Franz Eher, Nachf. in Munich. The official NSDAP newspaper was the Völkischer Beobachter, the Illustrierter Beobachter was the heavily illustrated weekly version. Many issues show Adolf Hitler and other Nazi leaders on the cover. The interior articles covered everything that was regarded important by the NSDAP at that time, such as the Führer on all kinds of occasions, the Reich Party Days, visits from political leaders of foreign countries, the new Ger-man armed forces, the KdF car, the Reichsautobahn, the annex of Austria (in the 1938 issues), the annex of Bohemia and Moravia (in the 1939 issues) occasionally anti-Semitic articles and much more! Each issue is heavily illus-trated and contains a lot of interesting historical information.
