Many busts of the Führer were made by various artists and in many sizes during the Third Reich period but few have survived that are in such nice condition as the bust that is offered for sale here. A Hitler bust was not a very popular display item in postwar Germany and the majority of these busts were destroyed. And many of the surviving busts were damaged either during the war or when they were removed when the Third Reich had collapsed.
