This full size fork in what is called the "Munich Apartment Pattern," was found at either the Fuhrerbau in Munich or Hitler's Munich apartment on Prinzregentenstrasse. This piece is from a large group of knives and forks, and 5 serving pieces that were brought back after the war by a veteran from Cleveland, Ohio. All the pieces were still wrapped in their original soft felt protective storage clothes for silver silver utensils. We will guarantee that the fork was veteran bought and give a life-time guarantee on originality. Pieces from the Munich Apartment Pattern are very difficult to find, and are much more scarce than pieces from other lines, such as the Formal or Informal lines. Pieces from this pattern are referenced in Dr. Mark Griffith's seminal work on AH silverware, "Liberated Adolf Hitler Memorabilia." The piece is marked "Krupp Berndorf." There are 2 other smaller marks as well on the back, one is the number 100 and one the number 33. It's a very neat piece, and not something that you will see very often. It's in perfect, un-messed with, uncleaned condition. Original patination.
