This excellent 7-3/4 x 10-1/2 inch, very heavily illustrated hardcover book was published 1938 from the Zeitgeschichte Verlag in Berlin, Germany after the annex of Austria which became part of the German Reich in 1938!

HITLER IN SEINER HEIMAT or Hitler In His Homeland (Hitler was born in Braunau/Inn in Austria) was another work by Prof Heinrich Hoffmann, Photobildberichterstatter der Reichsleitung der NSDAP - official photogra-pher of the NSDAP Reich Leadership and Hitlers personal photographer. The original dust jacket has some tiny damage at the bottom and the first empty page has some minor stain spots, the rest of this scarce book is in very good condition.

The book contains an introduction by Reichspressechef Dr. Otto Dietrich, followed by 64 pages with 80 excellent black & white photos (many of them full page photos) on the liberator of Austria: Adolf Hitler and the historic events in 1938. There are photos showing the Wehrmacht marching into the country with thousands of happy people along the streets raising their right arm to greet Hitler with the German Salute (Deutscher Gruss), Hitler in the streets of Austria in his unique Mercedes Benz automobile, a huge parade with tanks, cavalry, mountain troops, Hitler in front of his birth house, Hitler speaking with his former school teacher, Hitler at the grave of his parents, etc. and Hitler, Hitler, Hitler..., as well as other high rank Nazis, such as Heinrich Himmler, Hermann Göring, etc.
