This excellent 7-1/4 x 10 inches hardcover book with 160 pages is in very good condition. It has 100 photographs, mostly full page photos. It was written by Rosemarie Pierer and published 1942 by Deutscher Alpenverlag in Innsbruck. This book is the best photo report about the duties of the "Arbeitsmaiden" (that's how the female workers in the Reichs Labor Front were called) during their mandatory labor service time in the Alps region, helping out on mountain farms in the beautiful Alps. The book was written as a remembrance book for Arbeitsmaiden and their female leaders who served in the Bezirk XX / Alpenregion. It was published by order of the R.A.D. district leadership.
