Offered for sale is a RARE ORIGINAL 1941 THIRD REICH BOOK FOR THE HITLER YOUTH ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FLAG DIE FAHNE IST MEHR ALS DER TOD (THE FLAG MEANS MORE THAN THE DEATH) PUBLISHED BY THE NSDAP CENTRAL PUBLISHING HOUSE WITH TALES OF GERMAN HEROES WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THE FLAG The 7 x 9-1/4 inch, 146 page hardcover book in very good condition was written by Horst Kerutt and Wolfram Wegener and published 1941 by the NSDAP Central Publishing House Franz Eher, Nachf. in Munich. It's title was adopted from the motto in a Hitler Youth song. The book contains Adolf Hitler and Baldur v. Schirach quotations and tales of German war heroes from the past to today (1940) who sacrificed their lives to keep the German flag in the wind! The intention of the book was to teach the HJ boy (that was the target group) the right kind of patriotism.
