In July of 1936 the "International Central Bureau Joy and Work" was founded in Hamburg on occasion of the World Congress for Leisure Time and Recreation and Dr. Robert Ley, leader of the German Labor Front, was appointed by the 51 nations represented there to be President of this organization for life! This item here is a very nice example of the official monthly periodical of the "International Central Bureau Joy and Work". Offered for sale is issue number 10 (October) 1938 in very good condition. The 10-1/2 x 14-1/2(!) inch magazine has 132 heavily illustrated pages with countless photos and illustrations about leisure time, recreation and art in the Third Reich and other countries. The main articles in this issue deal about the 1938 Reich Party Days, Buenos Aires, Dr. Robert Ley in Sofia, Bulgaria and reports on a lot of other interesting subjects. Many pages have full color pictures and there are some fantastic Third Reich advertisings, too.
