JOSEPH GOEBBELS! WITH COUNTLESS PHOTOS DOCUMENTING THE WAY OF THE NATIONAL SOCIALISTS IN BERLIN FROM THE END OF WORLD WAR ONE TO THE SEIZURE OF POWER IN 1933! This very hard to find 9-3/4 x 12-3/4 inch, 184-pages hardcover book in ex-cellent condition was written by Dr. Joseph Goebbels and published 1934 by the NSDAP owned Franz Eher Nachf. Publishing House in Munich. The extremely heavily illustrated book is an excellent summary of the battle for Berlin, written from the view of the Nazis. Berlin has always been a strong-hold of the Communists and Socialists, especially in the districts where the ordinary workers lived. The battles and street fights between SA Brown-shirts and Red Front Commies were probably not as intense in other German cities as they were in Berlin. Goebbels published this book to honor those who conquered Berlin for the National Socialists. The documentary starts with a description of the horrible living and working conditions in Berlin after the end of World War One, shows those who where to be held responsible for that, then of course the battles of the Stormtroopers and finally the seizure of power in 1933! A seldom seen book which will be an asset to every collection of historical Third Reich material!
Goebbels dedicated this book to SA Sturm leader Horst Wessel who was killed by the Communists in Berlin (some sources say his death had nothing to do with the battles between Nazis and Commies) and who became the #1 martyr in the Third Reich.
