item # DOC - 35 Offered for sale is an ORIGINAL RARE LATE WAR 1944 HEINKEL FLUGZEUGWERKE METALLRAHMENAUSWEIS FOR A FOREIGN WORKER FROM POLAND WHO WORKED IN THE ERNST HEINKEL AIRPLANE FACTORY The Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugwerke were a restricted area and could only be entered with the correct documents. The metal frame identification card was created to make it more difficult to counterfeit documents that would give unauthorized individuals access to war important fac-tories or Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine depots. The document is mounted inside a metal frame which is riveted through the photo of the owner of the ID. It was issued 1944 to Ladislaus Woyzik from Lublin in the Generalgouvernement, German occupied Poland. These kind of documents are very hard to find today.
