VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1937 PROF. H. HOFFMANN PHOTO BOOK ON THE GERMAN PAVILION AT THE WORLD EXHIBITION IN PARIS DEUTSCHLAND IN PARIS WITH MANY EXCELLENT PHOTOS OF THE OUTSIDE AND THE INTERIOR OF THE AWARD WINNING PIECE OF NAZI ARCHITEC-TURE, DESIGNED BY HITLER'S FAVORITE ARCHITECT ALBERT SPEER! WITH TEXT IN FOUR LANGUAGES! ONE OF THE RAREST BOOKS PUBLISHED BY N.S.D.A.P. REICHSBILDBERICHTERSTATTER HEINRICH HOFFMANN! This excellent 7-3/4 x 10-1/2 inch, 128 pages soft cover book was published 1937 by Heinrich Hoffmann Publishing House in Munich. The rare book is in very good condition, the scarce original dust jacket has a little damage and some repair spots along the edges. Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann's official title was Photo-Bildberichterstatter der Reichsleitung der NSDAP (official photogra-pher of the NSDAP Reich Leadership and Hitlers personal photographer). The book is a photo report about the German contribution to the World Exhi-bition in Paris 1937. The German pavilion, completed by a 500 ft. tall tower crowned by a huge nazi eagle, designed by Albert Speer was, together with the Russian pavilion, the only one that was finished on time. The pavilion was con-ceived as a monument to "German pride and achievement". It was to show to the world that a new and powerful Germany had a restored sense of national pride. At night, the pavilion was illuminated by floodlights. The entrance was flanked by two impressive Josef Thorak bronce sculptures. The rich decorated interior showed the very best German craftmanship and was used to display "Made in Germany" products, such as Zeiss optics, Mercedes racing cars, to name just two. The restaurants (one of them was on the roof-garden) were operated by the famous Horcher restaurant from Berlin. There are around 120 photos total and together with the text in four languages this rare book is pro-bably one of the most comprehensive original Third Reich books on this sub-ject! Deutschland in Paris is among the hardest Heinrich Hoffmann books to find!
