The extremely rare 8-1/2 x 12 inch hardcover publication was published 1939 by the Reich Ministry of the Interior and printed by the Reichsverlagsamt in Berlin. This is probably the most comprehensive official Third Reich book on the Nazi flags, pen-nants, helmet insignia and building signs. It contains excellent full color tables with amazingly crisp colors, 70 years after this item went into print! This item probably never was for public sale but for use in Third Reich administration and the majority has been discarded and/or destroyed after the Third Reich had ended. This copy here is even more interesting as it once stood in the office of the Commander of the Ordnungspolizei in the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia, the occupied Czech Republic that was ruled by Reinhard Heydrich until his assassination in 1942. That means that this copy might even have been in the library of the office where Reinhard Heydrich did his duty!
