item # G - 251 Offered for sale is a VERY RARE ORIGINAL THIRD REICH "J" MARKED THIRD REICH PASSPORT FOR A JEW ISSUED TO A MALE JEW WHO MANAGED TO GET OUT OF THE GERMAN REICH IN 1940!
This extremely interesting Nazi German passport belonged to a Jewish salesman from Hannover, Germany who managed to migrate to the United States of America in 1940, a time when it was already very difficult for Jews to leave the country. The document is filled with entries and stamps and is in excellent condition. The big letter "J" in his passport instantly identified him as a Jew (see photo above) plus Nazi racial laws made it mandatory that every Jewish female had to take on the middle name Sara and every Jewish male the middle name Israel. The name of the holder of this passport was Bernhard Israel Goldschmidt.
Mr. Goldschmidt traveled to several countries, such as Japan, Russia and possibly China before he was granted a visa by the American Consulate in Hamburg on 29 June 1940. His immigration visa number was 22127. A very important artifact of anti-Semitic Third Reich history! Please click on the link below to see other rare
