This hard to find 10 x 11-1/2 inches hardcover book was published by order of the Gebiet Hochland 19 (HJ district 19 highlands) and printed 1938 by the Vereinigte Kunstanstalten in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria. The book has 100 pages with excellent photos nearly on every page, including several full page photos. This book describes especially the life of the Hitler Youth boys and BDM girls who live in the Bavarian highlands. The photos were made by a HJ leader of the Gau Hochland and the text was written by another Hitler Youth member of the same district. Two of the Hitler Youth kids that are shown in this book also made it in a Munich newspaper! Probably the original owner of this book pasted two newspaper clippings on sheets of paper and put them in the book. The book is in very good condition and the many close-up photographs will make a great reference for anyone who is interested in Hitler Youth and BDM uniforms!
