This little book with full color illustrations was written by Carola Dunbar and published 1934 by Verlag Jos. Scholz in Mainz, Germany. The author must have sent a copy to the Goebbels family and Magda Goebbels read it to her little daughter Helga. Magda Goebbels wrote a letter back to the author in which she expresses how much her daughter liked it to listen to the story and that this booklet should be distributed widely to make many small children in Germany happy. Her letter closes with "Heil Hitler". A scaled down version of this letter is pasted in the inside of the front cover. About 10-1/2 years later Magda killed Helga and her other children in the bunker under the Reichschancellery before she and her husband Dr. Joseph Goebbels committed suicide! A unique piece of Third Reich memorabilia!
