item # F - 139 Offered for sale is a VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1928 THIRD EDITION COPY OF ADOLF HITLER'S MEIN KAMPF HIS BOOK WAS FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1925 IN A NUMBER OF ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES THE BOOK HERE IS FROM THE THIRD EDITION! A VERY VERY RARE AND VALUEABLE PIECE OF HISTORY! Adolf Hitler's autobiography and political manifest, Band I (Volume One). This copy offered for sale here was published 1928 in the third edition by Central Publishing House of the NSDAP, Franz Eher, Nachf. in Munich, Germany. Hitler dictated this book to his secretary, Rudolf Hess while imprisoned in Landsberg after the failed 1923 revolution. The first editions (1925 and 1926) were only "Band I" (volume one), "Band II" (volume two) was first published in December 1926! All the "official" Third Reich copies (1933 to 1945) contained both volumes in one book. This very rare 1926 copy is still only volume one as volume two was not even published when this book was printed! When this book first came out it was not a success, noboy cared about the book in 1925 which would almost have had a much longer title. The original title Hitler chose was "Viereinhalb Jahre [des Kampfes] gegen Lüge, Dummheit und Feigheit" (Four and a Half Years [of Struggle] against Lies, Stupidity and Cowardice). His Nazi publisher, Max Amann, decided this title was too complicated and had it shortened to Mein Kampf (simply "My Struggle"). Before Hitler became Reichs Chancellor of Germany in 1933, Mein Kampf sold very slowly; but in 1933 alone it sold 1.5 million copies. Although the NSDAP claimed that it was already a huge seller, documents revealed after the end of World War II showed this to be false.
