The Gauleiter of Franconia, publisher of the anti-Semitic periodical "Der Stürmer" and participant of the 9 November 1923, Julius Streicher had the honor to lead the annual commemorative march through Munich.

The House of German Art

This 8-1/4 x 11 inch soft cover book with 120 heavily illustrated pages is one of the finest original Third Reich photo publications on Munich and its surroundings! It was published by order of the Munich travel office and printed in a number of 25,000 copies, probably in 1938. There is very little text (but everything is explained in four languages!) and photos on every page. Shown are all the important Nazi buildings such as the Braunes Haus, the Ewige Wache, the Feldherrnhalle, the Haus der Deutschen Kunst and Deut-sches Museum as well as well known Munich sights such as the Hofbräuhaus, the Munich Zoo, Nymphenburg Castle, etc.

Also shown is a lot of Munich's surroundings, the Reichsautobahn, Berchtesga-den (famous for Adolf Hitler's mountain residence on the Obersalzberg), Bad Tölz (home of the SS Junkerschule) and much more! An excellent book full of information on one of the most important cities in Hitler-Germany!
