Since 1941 the Auslandsorganisation der NSDAP (Nazi organization for Germans abroad or NSDAP-AO) published a two-volume yearbook with volume two being the one for the German merchant navy. The AO was technically considered an additional Gau (NSDAP district) with its head-quarters in Stuttgart. Offered here is volume two of the 1942 edition in excellent condition. The rare 6 x 8 inch, heavily illustrated 448-pages hardcover book contains everything the Nazis thought that the German sailor should know, such as the role of the merchant navy in war times, many reports about the war at sea, a ton of excellent advertisings and much more.
