This 6-3/4 x 10 inch, 280 pages soft cover book is the best original Third Reich book on the history of the NSKK, the organization that was founded in 1930 to motorize the NSDAP. The book was written by Gruppenführer Oppermann and published 1936 by Zentralverlag der NSDAP in Munich. The NSKK was led by an old friend of Adolf Hitler, Major Adolf Hühnlein. The NSKK was first named Nationalsozialistisches Automobilkorps (NSAK) but in 1931 the SA leadership changed the name to Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps (National Socialist Motorized Transportion Corps or NSKK). The fantastic book is a detailed summary of the founding of the NSKK, its early days and its development to a big organiza-tion in the Third Reich. The organization had close relationships with the SA, SS and Hitler Youth and the huge photo section (130 pages of only half and full page photos!) shows the NSKK in many occasions, such as rallies, training and the Reich Party Days, together with the other organizations as well as just the NSKK in countless other events. The construction of the Reichsautobahn and the NSKK were two important factors in the mobilization of Germany in the Nazi era. The book was also published in hardcover edition and any edition is an extremely rare find today!
