This outstanding encyclopedia was published by Bibliographisches Institut in Leipzig, Germany. It was originally intended to publish twelve volumes but only nine volumes were published by 1942 when the project was put on hold because of the war. That is why the encyclopedia stops at the letter "s" and the set that is offered for sale here is to be considered a complete set. A one-of-a-kind reference for anyone interested in Third Reich history! There is a good reason why this encyclopedia was nicknamed The Brown Meyer, brown standing for the Nazi era.
