This 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inch, 112 page hardcover book with original dustcover was published 1939 by order of the propaganda chapter of the NSDAP Gau leadership in the Niederdonau Gau. The rare dust jacket has some damage along the edges, the book itself is in very good condition. The Gau (district) Niederdonau is located in Austria and became part of the German Third Reich in 1938 after the annex of Austria. Niederdonau is the homeland of Adolf Hitler, that's where is ancestors came from and some of the many photos show historic places (which became "places of pilgrimage" in the Third Reich). Other photos show villages, architec-ture, churches, the people and historic artifacts from the Niederdonau region. A very nice addition for anyone interested in the Gau where Adolf Hitler came from!

The photos above show the village where Adolf Hitlers ancestors come from and the house of his grandfather, Johann Hietler.
