Offered for sale is a very nice original example of a Third Reich Nazi eagle table decoration. There was a variety of Hoheitsadler (official NSDAP term for the Nazi eagle) that where mounted on every official building or place of significance for the Nazi Party. The table decoration that is offered here is a very detailed copy of the huge eagle at the Luitpoldarena on the Nuremberg Reich Party Day grounds made by sculptor Kurt Schmid-Ehmen. The eagle is 150mm (about 6 inches) tall including the stone base, it has a wingspan of 120mm (about 4-3/4 inches). The bolt and nut that hold the eagle on the stone base are a little loose. This can be easily corrected but we did not make any attempt to tighten it. This item might have been sold as a souvenir at the Reich Party Day Grounds in Nuremberg but we don't know. What we do know is that this is a genuine piece of Third Reich history and we give a lifelong guarantee for its authenticity.
