All parts of this item are original, we give full guarantee of authenticity for it. The scabbard has about 80% of its original paint, the blade is straight and have never been "sharpened". The sword is not in mint but in good untouched condition. We did not make any attempts to clean or polish the sword and left it in the condition it was for the decades. The sword was manufactured by P.S. Solingen. We don't know what the letters stand for but would appreciate if anyone could let us know. This sword has never been in the hands of another dealer or somebody who would "doctor" it up with re-placement parts. This item is absolutely untouched, it was brought back by an American soldier who was with the 113th Cavalry in World War Two.
