Two excellent books with a lot of very interesting information on the German film in Nazi Germany!

Both books were printed after the annual convention of the Reichsfilmkammer, the 1937 convention was the first which ever took plave and the 1939 was the third annual convention of this chamber which was so important for Dr. Joseph Goebbels' propaganda machinery. So the 1937 year book is the first one ever printed and the 1939 is the third one of them. They were published by the President of the Reichsfilmkammer, Prof. Dr. Oswald Lehnich and printed from the Max Hesses Verlag in Berlin.

The Reichsfilmkammer, controlled from Reichspropagandaminister Dr. Goebbels was the authority which decided what the German people were allowed to see in the Third Reich and especially when World War II had started the movie theaters showed more and more patriotic movies. The Reichsfilmkammer also promoted the hate against the Jews with movies like "Der Ewige Jude" (the eternal Jew).

Both 6-1/8 x 8-1/4 inches hard cover books are in very good condition, the 1937 yearbook has 208 pages while the 1939 issue has 308 pages.
