Offered for sale is a RARE ORIGINAL 1938 POSTER FOR A STORMTROOPER THEATER PLAY DIE STRASSE FREI... A PLAY IN FOUR ACTS PLAYING AT THE TIME WHEN THE S.A. WAS DECLARED AN ILLEGAL ORGANIZATION The title comes from the famous (infamous) Horst Wessel song "Die Fahne Hoch". The second strophe goes like this: "Die Strasse frei den Braunen Batallionen die Strasse frei dem Sturmabteilungsmann es schaun aufs Hakenkreuz voll Hoffnung schon Millionen der Tag für Freiheit und für Brot bricht an" Clear the road for the Brown Batalions Clear the road for the Stormtrooper Full of hope are already millions looking at the swastika the day of freedom and bread has come The play was performed on July 30, 1938 in Attersee, Germany. Tickets cost RM 0.50 and up and the proceeds went to the NSV. The historic item was folded several times but there are to rips or other damages and it would display nicely when framed. Its size is 12 x 18 inches.
