The raised marks on the bottom say that the bottle holds 0,5 l (1/2 liter or 500ml) which was standard for bigger beer bottles back then and still today. The more common German beer bottle holds 333ml or one third of a liter.

VERY RARE ORIGINAL BEER BOTTLE FROM THE SS TOTENKOPF-DIVISION DACHAU CONCENTRATION CAMP This unique item is agenuine beer bottle from the canteen of Dachau concen-tration camp! The green bottle's did not have a paper label as most beer bottles had and still have today but raised letters that say: “Kantinen-Verwaltung der S.S.-T.V./K.L. Dachau” (“Canteen Administration of the SS Death’s Head Division Dachau Concentration Camp). The porcelain cap is marked as well (please see photos further below). After doing some research on the internet we found that these bottles (as well as Luftwaffe marked bottles) are subject of discussion in online chat rooms and that many fakes are offered as originals. We have no doubt that the bottle which is offered for sale here is genuine and we offer a full money-back guarantee for authenticity.
