ODILO GLOBOCNIK!

The 5x7 inch photo guide of German occupied Lublin (Poland) was published by one of the Nazi German key figures in the East: Odilo Globocnik who was appointed SS Police chief of the Lublin district by Heinrich Himmler. Globocnik was in charge of the resettlement program in German occupied Poland and one of his main tasks was to get rid of all Polish Jews! He was a supporter of Himmler's "General plan for the East" (Generalplan Ost) to resettle the Lublin area with Volksdeutsche (ethnic German) immigrants. He was founder of the Lublin (Majdanek) concentration camp and he was the commander of Operation Reinhard with the goal of the final solution of the Jewish question in the Generalgouvernement. Globocnik worked close together with Adolf Eichmann's SS office in Berlin which coordinated the deportation of the Jews to camps such as Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec, Maj-danek, etc.

Globocnik committed suicide in 1945.

The page above lists German hotels, restaurants and stores in Lublin, most of them were located in the Krakauer Strasse (street)
