This very interesting historical document was issued August 30, 1938 to Herbert Fandke in Celle, Germany. Second (Wartime) issue Waffen SS Wehrpass to Concentration Camp guard Herbert Fandke. Front cover stamped Luftwaffe then over stamped Waffen SS. Fandke was a Guard at KZ Sachsenhausen. Civilian photo. Previous Luftwaffe service in a Flak Regiment in Celle, Niedersachsen, and served in various other Flak Regiments. Also served in Russia and in Kurmark in 1944. Fandke was transferred to SS Totenkopf Wachbatallion Sachsenhausen in August 1944 at the time when all able bodied guards were being swept-up for the front and replaced by other troops. Various entries from May 1939 to September 1944. Awarded SA Sport badge in Bronze. Promoted to SS Sturmann rank in 1944. Good overall condition, but photo rivets have left rusted rings on facing and some subsequent pages. Comes with a photo of a group of Luftwaffe men in the field and two small documents, one an Assembly and muster order document, the other a general issue document regarding the use of his Wehrpass and stating is must be kept in the pocket of his Wehrpass.

Herbert Fandtke first served in the SS-Totenkopf-Wachbatallion in KL Sachsenhausen as a guard and he then was transfered into the Komman-datur (Commander's Office of Sachsenhausen concentration camp)
