Offered for sale is a RARE 1937 PHOTO BOOK ABOUT ARTFUL TYPES OF WRITING USED IN ARCHITECTURE WITH MANY PICTURES OF THIRD REICH BUILLDINGS DIE SCHRIFT IN DER BAUKUNST AN IMPORTANT ADDITION FOR EVERY COLLECTION OF HISTORICAL NAZI ARCHITECTURE MATERIAL The 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inch soft cover book with 106 heavily illustrated pages was published 1937 by Schriftkunde Verlag Heintze & Blankertz in Berlin. It is probably one of the most comprehensive works on writings on buildings, preferably Third Reich buildings, published in Germany between 1933 and 1945! The book is in very good condition, the Preface is written by architect Prof. Werner March (1894-1976) who became world famous as the architect who planned the Olympic Stadium in Berlin for the 1936 Olympic Games. During the war March was a staff officer in defence department of Admiral Wilhelm Canaris. The book is printed on high quality glossy paper with ex-cellent photos on nearly every page. Shown is the writing on many Third Reich buildings from Nazi Party, State, Hitler Youth, Labor Service (Deutsche Arbeitsfront) as well as from ordinary buildings in big German cities and little towns sacred inscriptions in church interiors. A great addition for every collection of Third Reich architecture material.
