The 8 x 11-1/4 inch, heavily illustrated 282-page hardcover book was written by Heinz Borgartz and published 1941 by Essener Verlagsanstalt as volume one of a planned series of books. Only volume one was ever published. Bongartz also wrote a book on the Nazi Luftwaffe, Luftmacht Deutschland, also published 1941. Seemacht Deutschland is a detailed book on the rebuilding of the German Navy and the war at Sea in the Poland Blitzkrieg 1939, the Norway campaign and the U-Boat war in the Atlantic. The book is very heavily illustrated with 207 photos, one full color chart, 45 drawings of ships and a fold-out map that is stored in a pocket in the back. The overall condition of this very interesting book is very good. A great addition to every collection of Third Reich and World War Two material, especially Reichskriegsmarine (RKM or Nazi Navy) material.
