Offered for sale is a RARE 1939 THIRD REICH BOOK WITH CONTEMPORARY HISTORY CARICATURES MIT STIFT UND GIFT (WITH PEN AND POISON) The 7-1/4 x 9-3/4 inch, 210 page hardcover photo book was written by Dr. Ernst Herbert Lehmann and published 1939 by Carl Stephenson Verlag in Berlin, Germany. The book contains very interesting caricatures from the 1930s found by the author in newspapers worldwide. These caricatures document what the world thought (and feared) about totalism and how weak democracy is in Europe compared to Nazi Germany. The German carica-tures on the other hand contain anti-British, anti-Bolshevist, anti-Democra-cy and some anti-Jewish propaganda. A very interesting book in excellent condition, reflecting the political situation in Europe shortly before the out-break of World War Two.
