ITEM #DOC - 16 APRIL 1945 DATED, NSDAP ISSUED EVACUATION PERMIT The piece of paper below probably was the most important document Ludmilla Rapphahn was issued in the last stages of the war! It the ticket to the west and away from the advancing Russian Red Army for her and her child. It was issued on April 8, 1945 by the NSDAP Kreisleitung (district leadership) in St. Pölten, the capital of Lower Austria. Ludmilla's train left the St. Pölten train station at 14:00 and she was allowed to take 20kg of belongings with her. The paper is signed and rubber stamped by the NSDAP Ortsgruppenleiter. A very interesting document from the last days of the Third Reich.
