4 JAHRE AUFBAU AN BEDROHTER GRENZE
(FOUR YEARS OF RECONSTRUCTION ALONG THE THREATEND BORDER) An excellent official photo documentation from the Gau that is bordering the Czech Republic which had a treaty of alliance with the Soviet Union This very interesting 8-1/4 x 8-3/4 inches soft cover book with 162 very interesting and heavily illustrated pages was published by Gauleiter Fritz Wächtler and printed 1936 by the Gauverlag Bayerische Ostmark in Bayreuth. The Bayerische Ostmark is bordering Bohemia and Moravia (Czech Republic) and the border which was fortified on the German side separated Germans in the Reich from Germans in Bohemia and Moravia. Two years after this book was published this border disappeared after the Czech Republic was annexed and became part of the Greater German Reich. The book describes all that was achieved in four years of National Socialism in the Gau (district) Bayerische Ostmark, farming, industry, residential and commercial construction, Reichsautobahn, etc. A very interesting book in very good condition.
