All parts of this item except for the leather hanger are original, we give full guarantee of authenticity for it. The scabbard has the number H 56 stamped in it, the bayonet has three tiny "Waffen-Abnahmestempel" with swastika eagle and the number A 883 and another number on the crossguard H 1831. The blade has never been sharpened and is in very good condition. The lenght of the blade is 250mm (9-3/4 inches), the total lenght is 380mm (15 inches). The wooden grip handles are tight and all screws are original. All in all a very nice example of an original Nazi bayonet!
