VERY RARE ORIGINAL WORLD WAR TWO

MODEL willys JEEP

MADE BY AN AMERICAN G.I. AT THE FRONT

AND SHIPPED HOME TO HIS SON!

This wonderful 12 x 6 x 7 inch (length x width x height) wooden jeep, painted in absolutely correct World War Two U.S. Army olive green was artfully handcrafted by an American G.I. who was probably somewhere in Europe (please not the "invasion star" on the hood - the early markings did not have a circle around the star). He must have wrapped it securely and shipped it home to his son Lerry, who must have been blown away by that gift (if he ever received it...!). A unique item of historic value for anyone with an interest in World War Two, Willys MB and Ford GPW jeeps, jeep models, etc.! A great display item for every military vehicle museum, US Army museum, private collection, jeep buff, ...!

the front bumber is missing but that is the only real imperfection . It looks as if this model was never equipped with a folding windshield, there are no holes or mounting hardware.

the two rear bumperettes are flattened (fixable / see above). The pictures left and below show how the G.I. engineered it that the two soldiers in the jeep moved when the vehicle was in motion!
