Offered for sale is a VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1943 THIRD REICH PHOTO BOOK ON FOREIGN VOLUNTEERS FROM NORDIC COUNTRIES FIGHTING IN THE WAFFEN-SS AGAINST BOLSHEVISM GERMANISCHE FREIWILLIGE IM OSTEN (GERMANIC VOLUNTEERS IN THE EAST) WITH EXCEPTIONAL PHOTOS FROM SS-REGIMENT NORDLAND, DIVISION WIKING, SWISS VOLUNTEERS AND MORE, UNITED IN THE WAR AGAINST THE RUSSIAN RED ARMY! The heavily illustrated 7 x 9-3/4 inch, 76-pages hardcover book was written by Benno Schaeppi and published 1943 by Buchverlag Willmy in Nuremberg. It deals about foreign volunteers from Denmark, Norway, the Baltic region and even from Switzerland who fought in the Waffen-SS against the Russians. The very "patriotic" book is subtitled: "Kriegseinsatz der Verbuendeten Gross-deutschlands" meaning the united war effort of Greater Germany and its Allies against the common enemy. The book contains a lot of SS propaganda and excellent photo material. Except for some minor damage at the back and a few small stain spots on the (blank) last page this very rare book is in great condition. A valuable addition to every collection of historical Waffen-SS material!
