The item almost looks like it was published last week and not 65+ years ago!

This 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inch, 300-page hardcover book was published 1941 by Franck'sche Verlagshandlung Stuttgart. It is in mint condition and contains 250 photos, illustrations and tables plus two fold-out tables in color. The book is made in a similar way like the HJ yearbooks Jungen Eure Welt with interesting stories from all over the world, a lot of technical information, nature, games, etc. and, as this is one of the war editions, it contains a lot of information about all branches of the German army and about their equipment! The intention was obviously to make the service i.e. the Luftwaffe sound interesting and a fun thing to do for the HJ boy who read this book.

a great part of the book focuses on the German armed forces and their equipment the page above is part of a photo report about the construction of the feared Ju87 Stuka.

Nazi medals and awards are presented in a several pages long photo chapter, such as the Iron Cross, Knight's Cross and U-Boat badge shown above
