Offered here is a very interesting 8-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch hardcover book with 152 heavily illustrated pages, published 1938 by order of the propaganda ministry and printed by Verlag fuer Kultur- und Wirtschaftswerbung in Berlin. The book, which is in very good condition, describes the achieve-ments of five years of National Socialism in the field of exhibitions and fairs. Dr. Joseph Goebbels' ministry was in full control of printed media, Rund-funk (radio broadcasting), the new developed television and also for public exhibitions and fairs. This book shows like no other book we have seen before how exhibitions and fairs changed dramatically after the Nazis came to power. There are many photos showing the new order which is proudly expressed on every exhibition, no matter if for farm equipment, farming, cars, hunting, household goods, new technologies, etc.! Also introduced are the heads of Reichsmusikkammer (Music, Chamber of the RKK) and Reichsfilmkammer (Movies, Chamber of the RKK), sub-organizations of the Reichskulturkammer. Dr. Robert Ley in his position as the Reichsorga-nisationsleiter (Reich Organization Leader) had quite some influence in the outward appearance of exhibitions and fairs and he is mentioned and photo-graphed a couple times. Also shown is what the Nazis called "Entartete Kunst" (Degenerate Art) and there was an exhibition which showed all the "art" which was banned from Hitler-Germany.
