This excellent 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches hardcover book has 92 heavily illustrated pages. The book was written by Trude Sand, printed 1934 by the Union Verlagsgesellschaft Berlin and is in very good condition. It is a very nice photo report about the duties of the "Arbeitsmaiden" (that's how the female workers in the Reichs Labor Front were called) during their mandatory labor service time, the so called Landjahr. The book is also on the male counterpart, the Hitler Youth boys who had to put in their time, too. During the Landjahr they were sent out to farms all over the German Reich and helped the farmers. This way they learned what hard work means and they also refined their social values.
